Drive unit with motor-integrated inverter

Based on the MOVI-C® modular automation system, we have further developed our MOVIGEAR® drive unit for you. MOVIGEAR® performance complements our existing products in terms of functionality and consistency, thereby expanding the range of applications for our decentralized drive technology, which has been proven for decades.

The MOVIGEAR® performance drive unit consists of a decentralized inverter, a permanently excited synchronous motor, and a gear unit. These three core components are housed in a compact die cast aluminum housing. MOVIGEAR® performance is thus a ready-to-use system that takes up little space and reliably enables you to process immense volumes in less time.

Drive unit with motor-integrated inverter

Thanks to an integrated digital interface, the electronic nameplate and various sensor signals are transmitted from the motor to the inverter without any additional installation effort. Communication takes place via fieldbus interfaces such as PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP™TM, Modbus TCP, POWERLINK/ CiA 402, EtherCAT®/SBusPLUS and EtherCAT®/CiA 402, as well as integrated digital inputs/outputs. MOVIGEAR® performance is therefore your ideal solution for dynamic conveyor applications.

Compactness and high overload capacity characterize the new drive unit. And thanks to its compliance with IE5, the highest achievable energy efficiency class for the motor in accordance with IEC TS 60034-30-2, as well as maximum system efficiency in accordance with IEC 61800-9-2, MOVIGEAR® performance outperforms previous solutions commonly available on the market.

MOVIGEAR® performance with new wet-area design /WA

Like the MOVIGEAR® classic drive unit, the MOVIGEAR® performance is also available in the wet-area design /WA. This design is particularly suitable for environments with special requirements regarding regular cleaning or for use in a deep-freeze configuration.
