MOVITRAC® classic reliably controls and monitors asynchronous and synchronous motors without an encoder and takes up a minimal amount of space in the control cabinet. Pluggable gateways make it a flexible, open option for a variety of control systems. You can choose to connect the inverter via PROFINET, EtherNet/IPTM, EtherCAT®/SBusPLUS, or Modus TCP. You can also configure the functional safety as required, either without a safety function or with the STO safety function.
MOVITRAC® classic is ideal for materials handling and motion applications such as conveyor belts and hoists, where the motors can also be controlled without an encoder. It is an attractive, cost-effective option that also saves on cabling and therefore on costs thanks to the absence of an encoder.
With which products can the MOVITRAC® classic inverter be combined?
Virtually all components from SEW‑EURODRIVE's modular system, so your application is bound to be covered. Combine the inverter with standard or servo gearmotors such as the new CM3C.. series of synchronous servomotors, or simply select an appropriate decentralized drive for your requirements.

Various keypads with differing ranges of functions are available.
The CDM11A diagnostic module is the interface to the MOVISUITE® engineering software. It also includes two seven-segment displays to show the device status. In addition, the module is required for use of the CBG11A, CBG21A, and CBG22A keypads.
Sub-mounting plates for sizes 0S and 0L, including a pre-installed braking resistor, ensure space-saving mounting of braking resistors underneath the inverter. A shield plate extension supports space-saving mounting of components such as SEW‑EURODRIVE brake rectifiers or multi-level terminal blocks.
CFX11A-.. gateways make it possible to connect the inverter to higher-level automation, project planning, and visualization systems. When using the gateway, industrial communication enables you to communicate directly with the devices. Seven additional inverters can be connected to the gateway using the CFC11A communication module.

Drive electronics are subject to various functional / product-related requirements, depending on the country of use. For instance, specific product labeling requirements must be met when importing goods. MOVITRAC® classic inverters have the necessary national product labeling.
